A try-dive entitles you to a one-hour session with a qualified HGSAC try-dive instructor where you’ll be introduced to SCUBA equipment and SCUBA diving in the safety of a pool environment.
Some basic skills may be introduced, but the emphasis will be on having fun and getting a feel for what scuba diving involves.

Participants will need a towel, swimming costume and a t-shirt they’re happy to wear in the pool. – this helps make wearing the dive gear more comfortable for most people.
Participants don’t need to be athletes, but do need to be medically fit and to not be suffering from a cold, ear infection or other such illness at the time of try dive.

Of course! We can run several Try Dives on the same night. Or, if you have friends or family who would just like to watch, that’s fine too, just bring them along!
These are a special try-dive offer available to students attending group pool sessions with HGSAC. For these sessions, all of the same conditions apply, but you will be limited to 30 minutes instead of the usual hour.
